GUINNESS BOOK OF WORLD RECORDS ATTEMPT AT LARGEST SKI AND SNOWBOARD LESSON TO TAKE PLACE AT POWDERHORN MOUNTAIN RESORT


MESA, Colo. (December 30, 2015) – Powderhorn Mountain Resort (PMR) will be taking part in the Guinness Book of World Records attempt at breaking the largest ski and snowboard lesson on January 8, 2016.

Over 150 resorts nation-wide will be competing for four different Guinness Book of World Records titles. World’s Largest Ski Lesson at a single venue, World’s Largest Snowboard Lesson at a single venue, World’s Largest Ski Lesson at multi-venues, and World’s Largest Snowboard Lesson at multi-venues.

PMR will be offering a special rate for any level one beginners, ages 8 and up, who would like to participate. For $50, a beginner will receive a full-day lesson, rentals (including helmet provided by St. Mary’s Hospital and Rocky Mountain Orthopaedics) and EZ Rider lift ticket. This special rate is valid only on Friday, January 8th.

Registration needs to be done by Thursday, January 7th to be eligible for the special Guinness Book Lesson rate.

“This is the perfect way to kick off January’s Learn to Ski and Snowboard month,” states Stephanie Reynolds, Ski and Ride Center Director for PMR. “We are excited to have our Grand Valley join in and participate in this exciting event, and hopefully learn a fun, healthy, life long sport.”
