Four days to celebrate the fall foliage on the Western Slope of Colorado

 
MESA, Colo. – SEPTEMBER 12, 2013 – Fall in Colorado is fast-approaching and Powderhorn Mountain Resort provides one of the most profound locations for leaf peeping on the Western Slope providing spectacular fall foliage and everlasting views of the Grand Valley.  This year, Powderhorn Mountain Resort is pleased to announce the return of its Fall Fest, September 21 and 22 and annual Color Weekend, featuring the Grand Mesa Byway’s annual Color Sunday, September 28 and 29. Don’t miss this opportunity to take in the views from above the trees at the most pristine perch on the Western Slope.

Powderhorn’s Fall Fest and Color Weekend both include a fun and friendly venue featuring food, live music, lift rides, and activities for all ages. The two weekend events include, fall season pass sales, local vendors , Honey skateboard demos, live art, kids creative corner, bungee tramp, free yoga, and free camping in the lower lot.

New this year the Powderhorn POWDER cross; Cyclocross bike race sponsored by LTR Sports during Fall Fest and, returning this fall, the Powderhorn Adventure Challenge during Color Weekend; Featuring three races at 8,200 ft.: the Powderhorn Race Club annual 10K Thigunawat; Team Challenge; and the Kids Fun Race will be main attractions during Color Weekend along with lift rides, guests are reminded they must be able to load and unload the lift unassisted.

10 a.m.          LIFT RIDES, Local Vendors, Season Pass Sales, Kids Creative Corner, Bungee Tramp, Yoga and  FREE CAMPING.
11 a.m.          Group C, Bike Race
12 p.m.          Group A, Bike Race

Sunday:

10 a.m.        Lift Rides, Local Vendors,  Season Pass Sales, Kids Creative Corner, Bungee Tramp and Free Camping.
1 p.m.         Live music on The Sunset Deck featuring Round About.

Sunday:
9:30 a.m.     The Powderhorn Race Club’s Thigunawat 10K Race
10 a.m.        Lift Rides, Local Vendor Options, Season Pass Sales, Kids Creative Corner,  Bungee Tramp and Free Camping.
