The Mountain

Powderhorn is nestled on the edge of the Grand Mesa, the world's largest flat-topped mountain. Just 35 miles east of Grand Junction, the slopes of Powderhorn rise to 9,900 feet. Powderhorn combines wonderful skiing and snowboarding with breathtaking views in a friendly personal atmosphere. Powderhorn prides itself in offering tremendous value for great winter fun.

New for the 2008/09 season!
Powderhorn has added two new runs: Hooligan & Bear Claw.  Both are located on West End.  The are Black runs for experienced skiers and are 2400' long.  For beginners, the Resort has also added a Magic Carpet lift to make it easier for novice skiers and snowboarders to learn the sport.

Powderhorn has full base area facilities and a mountain layout that feeds into the central base area. There are no long lift lines or expensive lift tickets. We're proud of our groomed 'corduroy' but there are plenty of challenging bump runs and glades to play in. Powder stashes can be found all day on Powderhorn's uncrowded slopes.

If you've never been on skis or a snowboard, Powderhorn is an easy place to learn. Spend time with certified instructors who genuinely love to teach. The classes are small and kids under 8 ski and play in their own area. Develop your skills while having fun!

The Inn at Wildewood is just steps from the lift with slopeside lodging. Ski for half price when you stay at the Inn any day. The rooms are mini suites, each with a microwave, refrigerator, coffee maker and TV. The Bear's Den is a relaxing retreat for guests with a fireplace, big screen TV, games, and complimentary continental breakfast. Located upstairs is the Wildewood Restaurant, a beautiful full service restaurant with gourmet food in a relaxed atmosphere.

The kids won't get lost and the family friendly attitude makes it the ideal getaway for a day, a weekend, or longer. Let us be your host for your mountain adventure at Powderhorn.
