Dear Media Professional:
Powderhorn Resort is the Western Colorado ski resort known for sunny days and incredible service. In its unique location, where the desert meets the mountain, Powderhorn is best known for its stress-free atmosphere and variety of terrain. Nestled on the edge of the Grand Mesa, 45 minutes from Grand Junction, Colorado, Powderhorn sits at 4,000 feet above the valley floor. We promise you won't find views like this anywhere else. Guests can cruise the corduroy, dash into the aspens for the glade skiing, plow the waist deep powder, hit the bumps, or jib their way through the terrain parks. Some Powderhorn distinctions include short lift lines, amazing views, hospitable service, informal atmosphere and the welcome feeling of being home.
Powderhorn has full base facilities and the mountain layout feeds into the central base area. There are no long lift lines or expensive lift tickets. We're proud of our groomed "corduroy" but there are plenty of challenging bump runs, glades, and boulder fields to play in.
If you've never been on skis or a snowboard, Powderhorn is an easy place to learn. Spend time with certified instructors who genuinely love to teach. The classes are small and kids under 8 ski and play in their own area. Develop your skills while having fun!
The Inn at Wildewood is just steps from the lift with ski in/ski out lodging. The rooms are mini suites, each with a microwave, refrigerator, coffee maker and TV. The Family Room at the Inn is a relaxing retreat for guests with a fireplace, big screen TV, games, books and a play area for children. Upstairs is Wildewood Restaurant, a beautiful full service restaurant with quick quality cuisine in a fun relaxed atmosphere. It's a great place to watch your favorite sports event on one of several TVs.
The kids won't get lost and the family friendly attitude makes it the ideal getaway for a day, a weekend, or longer. Powderhorn is a place with no crowds and no hassles.
Let us be your host while you make memories at Powderhorn.
