2009: Heavy Snow Postpones 3rd Annual Thunder Mtn. Freestyle Fest

HEAVY SNOW POSTPONES 3RD ANNUAL THUNDER MTN. FREESTYLE FEST

The event, originally scheduled for February 14th, will take place on Saturday, February 21st. Mesa, CO, February 13, 2009--- The Thunder Mtn. Freestyle Fest at Powderhorn Resort will be postponed until Saturday, February 21st. Although the event which is a full day of terrain park events and activities needs an abundance of snow, it looks like mother nature over-delivered.  There is currently too much snow to get the park in good competition shape by the original event date this Saturday.  The resort has received 14 inches of snow in the last 24 hours and heavy snowfall continues.  For the latest snow and weather conditions, visit www.powderhorn.com .

Event Details
Top skier and rider receive $100 cash and new skis or snowboard!  Competitors receive free lunch in the terrain park, free mountain dew and plenty of stickers & giveaways.  The event is open to spectators.

How to Register-Participants
$20 to enter

Registration 8:30am- Lodge
Comp begins 10am

FREE BBQ lunch provided in the park
FREE Mountain Dew for all
Giveaways
Video of comp will be posted online
