Mesa, CO, January 11, 2008:

Mix beautiful Powderhorn Ski Area, a proud sponsor like Grand Junction Subaru and winter sports, and you have a combination that has the power to help people in need.

Mark February 16th-18th on your calendar to play at Powderhorn and support a fund-raising effort for victims of domestic violence. Buy a lift ticket and know that a portion of the purchase price will be donated to the Latimer House Counseling & Advocacy Center and that Powderhorn’s partner, Grand Junction Subaru, will match all funds raised. General donations are being taken at the resort as well as Grand Junction Subaru.

This is the first year for Powderhorn to support this program. Steve Bailey, President and CEO, has a sincere desire to make a difference in the lives of those affected by domestic violence. “Latimer House is providing a very valuable and important service to our community,” said Bailey. “Higher Love was designed to raise not only funds but awareness of the reality of domestic violence and sexual assault in Mesa County.”
