POWDERHORN GRAND
OPENING THIS SUNDAY
Mesa, Co.---------Powderhorn Resort is celebrating the grand
opening of new mountain biking and hiking trails this Sunday, July 1. Every
rider and hiker on the trails that day will receive a half-price lift ticket
for the 07-08 ski season. The resort is also celebrating with a BBQ lunch at
the Sunset Grille, live music, specials at the Alpine Trader, brunch at
Wildewood Restaurant, and great deals provided by Loki.
The new trails range from intermediate to advanced and cover
6 miles of terrain. Trail maps and conditions information is available at the
trailhead. These trails are open seven days a week and free to the public.
Powderhorn will have a ribbon cutting ceremony at the
trailhead at 10:30am. At this time, resort officials will also announce plans
to develop a new 18 hole Disc Golf course on the mountain.
"The biking & hiking trails have been an exciting
project for us", said Powderhorn's Marketing Director, Sarah Allen. "This area is perfect for those looking to
stay active while escaping the summer heat of the valley."
