Powder Racers Qualify for Junior Olympics PDF  | Print |  E-mail

Four area skiers have qualified for the Rocky Mountain Division/Central Division Junior Olympics. 

 

Katharine Howe, age 14, qualified for the J3 Junior Olympics to be held at Aspen on March 13-17. 

 J3 skiers are ages 13-14. 

 

Anders Carlson, Max Mroz, and Rylan Perez, all age 12, qualified for the J4 Junior Olympics to be held at Winter Park on March 22-24.  J4 skiers are ages 11-12.  

 

 

To qualify, these skiers had to place in the top 40 in their region. The Rocky Mountain Division includes skiers from across Colorado, Arizona and New Mexico.  In the Junior Olympics, they will compete against the top 40 Rocky Mountain Division racers as well as the top 40 Central Division Racers.  The Central Division covers Minnesota and other central US states.
