The Powderhorn Racing Club USSA team kicked off its competitive racing season this past weekend with a strong showing at the Crested Butte Giant Slalom competition. Nineteen area athletes, ranging in age from 7 to 14 competed at Crested Butte against teams from Aspen, Sunlight, Telluride, Monarch and Crested Butte. Powderhorn's highest finish was a 2nd place medal won by Anders Carlson in the highly competitive Men's J4 (ages 11-12) division. Overall, the Powderhorn Racing Club had 20 top ten finishers.
