The TeleFest is back for its 3rd year at Powderhorn! This event is a full day of freeheel craziness! There is an uphill/downhill race, clinics, t-shirt and swag bag for registrants, demos, and a great apres ski party with food, drink and a costume contest at the Bear's Den @ Wildewood.

TeleFest General Registration: 8am-10am

Apre Tele Party in the Bear's Den: 4:30pm

Event Details:
Uphill/Downhill Race: Race to the top of the mountain and down! Racers will be required to use freeheel gear and skins to trek to the top of Wonderbump, turn around the marker, and ski back to the bottom. This is a fun race for everyone and prizes will be awarded for male and female winners. Race starts in front of the Inn at Wildewood.

Tele Improvement Clinic:Whether you are brand new to Telmarking or a seasoned pro, join our instructors for a morning of skill improvement. Clinic groups are available for beginner, intermediate, and advanced skiers. Sign up at the Ski School desk.
Avalanche/Back Country Awareness Class: Taught by Rick Smith, Level 2, avalanche certified. Review of the “essential” knowledge that you should always have, basic sheltering and “Avalanche Awareness”. Class will be about 90 minutes.
Tele Poker Run: Not into the Uphill part of the Uphill/Downhill race? Traverse the entire mountain, stopping at redetermined locations, picking up one card at each stop. The winner is the person who gets to the bottom with the best 5-card poker hand. Participants must show their “hand” to designated person before leaving the slopes.
Costume Contest: Dress up in your best costume to show off on the slopes and then compete for “Best of Slope”, as determined by fellow tele's, at the Apre Tele Party.
Party: Everyone will gather at the Bear's Den @ Wildewood for the snacks, really good beer (thanks to Kannah Creek Brewery), the costume contest and event prizes will be awarded.
