Warm Up: Take a right off the Flat Top Flyer towards Bill’s Run to get a feel for the snow conditions at medium pace. With a view of the horizon as far as the eye can see, average pitches, and even a few semi-hidden boulder fields, Bill’s Run gives you a sampling of the adventures ahead at Powderhorn.
Before Lunch: Maverick hosts unique terrain that acts as the gateway to other trails. You’ll find sweeping turns across the face of this run and a tree line that teases Powderhorn’s famous glades. No matter your skiing or riding style, Maverick has the terrain on offer.
Afternoon Cruiser: Sneak over to the West End to ski down Red Eye. Red Eye is a wide-open, semi-steep run, built to boost confidence at higher speeds and provide breathtaking scenery. Pop into Sweet Misery to test your expertise on the most challenging moguls on the mountain.
Gladed Paradise: Once you enter Sven’s Bend, you will not want to leave. Sven’s boasts the best glade skiing on the mountain and proves to be a local’s favorite year after year. With so many lines to choose from, you rarely find yourself searching for a powder stash in Sven’s. The real challenge is deciding what line to conquer.

42 trails, plus 2 terrain parks.

20% of our runs are for beginners, and 50% are for intermediate skiers & boarders.
How much snowfall do you receive annually?
We average 250 inches a year.
How many lifts do you have?
A total of 5. We have 1 High-Speed Quad, the new Flat Top Flyer, which gets you to the top in just 6 minutes. We also have 2 Double Lifts,1 Surface lift, and 1 Magic Carpet.
What should I bring?
- Helmet or warm hat (Helmet rentals are available in the rental shop)
- Eye protection – Tinted goggles or sunglasses
- Water proof coat and snow pants
- Water proof gloves or mittens
- Sunscreen – SPF 30 or higher
