How To Have The Best Color Weekend Experience

-Bring layers and proper hiking footwear, temperatures change quickly and rain can start at any time. Flip flops, sandals, or high heels are not recommended for riding the lift.

-Be prepared if you plan to hike down the resort; there are no beginner hiking trails that will take you from the top of the resort to the bottom.

-Beginner trails are available but require riding the lift up and down. Ask a Powderhorn representative for more details or refer to our Summer Trail Map.

- Absolutely no hiking on designated Bike Trails.

-Expect longer than average wait times to ride the lift. This weekend is Powderhorn's most popular summer event! Powderhorn recommends arriving before 12 PM if you plan on taking a Scenic Lift Ride.

-Children must be able to load and unload the lift unassisted in order to ride the Flat Top Flyer. Children in backpack/front pack carriers will not be allowed to load the lift.

-Smoking is not permitted on Powderhorn or Forest Service property.
